We also provided staff on site during the initial implementation phase.

    Thailand Post

    GHL (Thailand) has partnered with Thailand Post to enable postman to deliver monthly pension and other social security payments to Thai citizens nationwide. The service, which is known as Post@Home delivers payments to 6.5 Million Thai senior citizens and more than 800 thousand village health volunteers throughout the country.

    The Advantage

    GHL (Thailand) partnered with iSystech to provide EDC Terminals with specially developed applications to manage the payment data and operate the Post@Home service. The service enables postmen equipped with EDC terminals to deliver cash at home after authenticating the recipients’ identities. The application also records payments and prints out receipts for the recipients. The EDC terminal communicates securely with the database servers via GPRS network. The Post@Home service has been developed to be flexible to accept other services that may be added from time to time.

    The Impact

    Thailand Post launched 2 pilot projects in early January 2013. Post@Home service has already delivered monthly pay to recipients in some provinces helping Thai senior citizens and volunteers to receive money on time without having to going to the bank. Subsequent to pension delivery, Post@Home was extended to the collection of electricity and water bill payment in February 2013 followed by the disbursement of the disabled and veterans monthly compensation payment.
