Kuala Lumpur, 9 October 2009 – GHL Systems Berhad ( GHL Systems) bagged two awards at the prestigious MSC Malaysia APICTA 2009 Awards held last night at the Putra World Trade Centre.
The Asia-Pacific region’s leading payments solutions provider won in one of the three categories it was nominated in while receiving a Merit award for another.
GHL Systems’ NetMATRIX TLE took top honours in the Best of Security category. The NetMATRIX (Multi-Application Transaction Routing and Identification eXchange) Terminal Line Encryption addresses payment network security and fraud threats.
This first in the world solution, introduced in Malaysia in 2005, encrypts and decrypts electronic transactions from all credit card terminals, essentially ensuring the integrity of Malaysia’s payment infrastructure. Today NetMATRIX TLE has set the standard for end-to-end encryption (E2EE) around the world with its approach to line encryption and other key features and in the process, ensuring that Malaysia is among the safest countries for conducting card transactions.

GHL Systems also received a Merit Award for its latest invention - the netAccess L-200 OPTIMUS, a first-in-the-market payment router, under the Best of Communications Applications category.
The netAccess L-200 OPTIMUS concentrates multiple downlink devices including legacy dial-up EDC terminals, fixed-line telephony, and fax/data and consolidates them to a wireless GPRS or 3G communications uplink. This innovation offers a complete communications solution that includes interconnectivity of multiple payment devices, wireless routing of payment transactions, through highly available and secure networks.

This is GHL’s second outing to the annual awards, with both participation garnering two awards each for two consecutive years. The winners of MSC Malaysia APICTA 2008 categories will represent Malaysia in the international awards – the APICTA Awards 2009 in Melbourne, Australia end of this year.
